Sales Associate
Sales associates sell new at dealership to maximize gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction. As a vehicle sales associate, you will be able to establish a personal income goal and devise a strategy to get there.
- Great communication skills with the ability to approach, greet and offer assistance to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot

Used Vehicle Sales Associate

Service Advisor
A Service Advisor provides high level of customer service and interaction to address customer primary concerns. Additionally, to sell and schedule needed service work and flat rate hours in the service department.
- Schedules service appointments
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information
- Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order
- Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service

Service Technician
Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair, and who has previously worked as a B Class general service technician.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Ability to diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events

- Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions

Lube Technician
Provides entry level services for the purpose of vehicle maintenance.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Drains oil from crankcase and refills with required amount of oil -Replaces oil and air filters
- Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
- Documents all work performed on the repair order
Parts Counter
Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. Assists in organizing parts storage area and keeping counts current.
- Assists customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Reviews body shop estimates to be sure parts are correct and pricing is in line
- Pulls and fills orders from stock
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up
- Solicits assigned accounts by phone
- Keeps parts area clean and neat
Parts Driver
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.
- Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
- Ability to keep an accurate log of daily pick-ups and deliveries
- Loads & Unloads truck every night
- Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed
- Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars
- Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts
General Office Clerk
Organizes dealership records in an efficient and accurate manner enabling easy and quick retrieval. Regularly handles an array of clerical assignments to provide smooth communications and document retrieval.
- Tabulates and posts data in record books

- Provides information to customers, claimants, employees and sales personnel

Receptionist and Greeter
Receives callers and guests at the dealership, determines the nature of their business, and directs callers to their destination. Answers basic inquiries, routes incoming calls, takes messages, and provides basic information to all customers.
- Creates a positive first impression; Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit
- Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduces the customer to a salesperson
- Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
- Assists with clerical duties as requested
Customer Service Representative
Serves as a liaison between the dealership and its customers and represents the dealership at various public relations events
- Supervises all vehicle deliveries, ensuring that each customer is informed of the vehicle's warranty details, maintenance requirements, and features, particularly those related to safety
- Introduces customers to service and parts personnel, indicating shop location and hours of operation
- Develops and monitors the results of a dealership customer service questionnaire
- Coordinates special dealership events, promotions, and seminars
- Implements customer satisfaction programs
Title Clerk
Helps process car deals; which includes verifying costs for the accounting department, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, and handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
- Prepares tax and title documents
- Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.
- Processes yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with comptroller
- Conducts periodic training sessions for F&I managers and sales personnel regarding title regulations and procedures and issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations change
- Directs title runner in daily routines
- Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins
- Prepares stock cards for new and used vehicles
- Posts vehicle sales and purchases
- Processes/registers all vehicle warranties and extended service contracts, maintaining a log of all contracts processed and mailed
Office Manager
Processes and generates financial data for all dealership departments, which together represent the accurate financial condition of the business. Provides accurate reporting to the dealer/general manager and is responsible for accounting office and administrative functions.
- Hires, trains, and supervises office personnel
- Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures
- Controls all posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions, and additions and changes to inventory
- Maintains an effective cash management system. Forecasts cash needs
- Controls petty cash amounts for dealership and sales department
- Provides a timely daily operating control (DOC) and keeps the dealer/general manager informed about trends
- Reconciles select accounts monthly
- Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate. Prints monthly journals, schedules, and general ledger
- Prepares employee health/life benefit payments
- Controls keys to buildings and maintains log of keys issued to employees
- Maintains confidential employment files
- Ensures that all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records and analyses and supervises the preparation of all information for the CPA in order to minimize audit or review costs
